A career coach is an expert in career planning, negotiation, interviewing, and resume building. They are professionals with knowledge of the current job hiring practices and they work constantly to help job seekers.
A career coach will provide you with guidance, support, and the help you need to reach your ultimate career goal. They help you overcome the obstacles you're facing in your career. With a career coach, you can reach your goals sooner rather than later.
20+ career experience
I have over 2 decades of experience working across different sectors, from academia to the not-for-profit sector. My work experiences range from training, lecturing, policy-making, researching, and management. I have gone up the 'corporate ladder' to being a Chief Executive and that's when I decided to start a new journey of helping others reach their full potential.
Extensive training
I hold a specialization in Positive Psychology, training in Positive Intelligence, as well as a Masters in Sociology, a Ph.D. in International Relations, aside from several Coaching (Life Coaching, Behavioural Coaching, etc) certificates.
Proven leadership
Prior to starting my journey as a career coach, I was the Chief Executive of the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO), and I have been in several executive management positions. I have managed international teams, organized global events, and have been held accountable for projects, fundraising and campaigns. The leadership skills I learned have helped me provide career coaching and mentorship to my clients.
Integrity
I strive to abide by the highest professional and ethical standards. I have adopted the ICF code of ethics and the Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors, and Supervisors.
You will always get the truth from me. Integrity makes me accountable, respectful, and reliable to everyone I coach, my stakeholders, and partners.
Called to serve
My joy as a career coach is in seeing my clients learn, grow, and reach their full potential.
I particularly enjoy working with expats and international professionals, their partners, and even those making plans to retire or already retired (which is also a 'major career change').
